Remember when Avril Lavigne was all the rage and you couldn't escape "Sk8er Boi"? Not that you wanted to, because it was awesome. Well, Lavigne's latest music video is a bit of a departure for her. "Hello Kitty" is a kind of hyper J-pop tune that's not particularly easy on the ears in the first place, but the video is straight-up crazy. It features the singer in various department and candy stores with giant desserts, lots of pink, and backup dancers made to look identical. It's not that the video itself is all that bizarre, it's the fact that it comes from Lavigne that's so weird. Granted, she's overhauled her image a few times since 2002's Let Go, but this is . . . I don't even know. Take a look and decide for yourself.
