No Doubt "Just a Girl" Music Video

No Doubt's "Just a Girl" Is Just as Relevant 20 Years Later

No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom album came out 20 years ago, and we thought we'd celebrate the huge milestone by rewatching the video for the band's epic hit "Just a Girl." Released in September 1995, the song combined a sick ska-infused beat with empowering lyrics like "Cause I'm just a girl, little ol' me / Well don't let me out of your sight / Oh, I'm just a girl, all pretty and petite / So don't let me have any rights." The video, which featured frontwoman Gwen Stefani throwing a house party and flaunting her abs in a crop top, was just as legendary. Even two decades later, "Just a Girl" is still one of the most influential feminist anthems out there, and it doesn't hurt that Gwen can still tear up the stage just like she did back when No Doubt made their debut. Watch the video above now, then look back on Gwen's rock-star evolution.
