Award Season Déjà Vu: The Weird Moments That Kept Happening

. . . and, finally, the man himself, Matthew McConaughey, who delivered a heartfelt Oscar speech but remembered to include his catchphrase.

Jared Leto swept award season for his role in Dallas Buyers Club — which he often thanked the "Rayons of the world" for (though at the Oscars, he changed gears and thanked his mom).

The 12 Years a Slave producer and star has been on the thank-you list for all the film's winners (including Lupita Nyong'o) — it's not just award season; it's Brad Pitt appreciation season.

In addition to Brad Pitt, the other person Nyong'o thanked was the real-life inspiration for 12 Years a Slave, Solomon Northup. She even made sure to name-drop him in her Oscar acceptance speech.

You know who has been killing it this award season? Emma Thompson. She first cracked us up presenting at the Golden Globes, where she tossed off her shoes and tossed back a martini.

Look at how much fun she was having!

Even Bryan Cranston was a fan, talking her up in his SAG acceptance speech. Thompson was loving it, and so were we.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus — nominated for TV and movie awards this year — wins best in show for her silly shenanigans, like this bit at the Golden Globes.

And eating a hot dog at the Golden Globes.

Oh, and basically being her Veep character again as she accepted the SAG.

Cate Blanchett, who swept award season for her role in Blue Jasmine, always remembered to give it up for the man behind the lens, Woody Allen, even in her Oscar acceptance speech.

Now, everybody loves Tom Hanks, but this award season, everyone loved joking about Tom Hanks, like when Amy Poehler deliberately mispronounced his name at the Golden Globes.

Or when David O. Russell repeatedly thanked him at the Critics' Choice Awards. We don't get it either, Tom!

Just like last year, Jennifer Lawrence charmed us this award season by being herself, like when she snuck up on Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes.

At the SAGs, she couldn't open an envelope under pressure, like a normal person.

One of her best moments had to be when she met Damian Lewis on the SAGs red carpet and then got the worst Homeland spoiler ever.
