On Thursday, A24 dropped a trailer for its upcoming indie drama Moonlight. Adapted from Tarell McCraney's play, In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue, it tells the story of a young man struggling with his sexual identity and a difficult home life in Miami Beach, FL. The film unfolds in three poignant chapters and stars Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and Janelle Monae. Given the critical success of other films from the studio this year — including New England folktale The Witch and the bizarre but striking The LobsterMoonlight could really leave its mark.
