15 Retro Films to Watch If You Still Miss Mad Men

Beyond the Sea follows the life of real-life crooner Bobby Darin and his wife Sandra Dee. Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth do an excellent job tackling their tumultuous, public relationship — set to a sweet soundtrack, no less. Plus, I can't help but be partial to that stylish yellow suit.

While the South had some different problems from NYC, the racial inequality in The Help parallels the changing landscape that Mad Men deals with.

You can't help but think about The Wonders — and their hit singles — in That Thing You Do and smile. Not only does the film depict the golden age of TV and Ed Sullivan, but the soundtrack also has '60s pop down.

Across the Universe takes on The Beatles and hippies, and it also depicts life before and after the Vietnam War. This dancing/bowling scene with the song "I've Just Seen a Face" is one of the highlights (along with cute Jim Sturgess).

An oldie but a goodie, in Peggy Sue Got Married, Peggy Sue faints at her high school reunion and wakes up in her own past, just before graduating from high school in the early '60s. We don't blame her for finding it difficult to resist a young Nic Cage's pompadour. That's some serious hair.

Colin Firth and Julianne Moore are stunning in the costumes of A Single Man. This mod, amazing house screams Mad Men.

Another musical full of 1960s power, Dreamgirls looks at life during the heyday of Motown.

This Oscar-nominated film showcases the incredibly talented Saoirse Ronan as Eilis, an Irish immigrant who finds herself in 1950s Brooklyn. Come for the frothy, pastel clothes, stay for the emotional love story.
