After keeping mum on social media for a year, Nicki Minaj is definitely taking 2018 by storm! The rapper ended her social media silence on April 12 to release two singles, "Barbie Tingz" and "Chun-Li," blessed us all on the red carpet of the Met Gala, and sent fans into a tizzy joking that she was now dating Eminem after breaking up with Nas. On May 25, Minaj uploaded a clip of Princess Diana, sharing the inspiration behind her forthcoming LP, Queen, and on June 7, she finally shared the cover!
The wait was definitely worth it.
All in all, the album cover is pretty simple yet amazingly extra in a way only Minaj can pull off. In the shot, Minaj is perched on a tree branch, adorned head-to-toe in strategically placed accessories, and wearing a golden headdress. Combined with the blood orange background, the entire cover screams, "The only thing worth looking at is me and I'm that b*tch." At press time, the cover has been up for over an hour and has racked up over 900,000 "likes." Keep reading to see fans' reactions to Minaj's new cover ahead and get ready for the album release on Aug. 10.
