Some people use their Sunday afternoons to relax or catch up on sleep or run errands, but some people, like me — and thousands of other Harry Styles super fans — sit in front of a computer to watch the singer's first show on his latest tour via live stream out of Basel, Switzerland. Ah, the life of a fangirl.
On March 11, our lord and savior Harry Styles kicked off a new tour clad in the most beautifully sparkly custom Gucci suit. While seeing him on a stage performing tracks from 2017's Harry Styles is all well and good, the anticipation of possible new music is really what had a lot of us fans tuning in to crappy live streams on Twitter. And God bless Styles for coming through for us. Not only did he do a stripped-down cover of a One Direction song that had never been performed before, but he also sang not one but two never-before-heard songs.
The new best songs ever to exist are presumably called "Medicine" and "Oh Anna," and reactions to them have already been super positive. Continuing a streak of naming songs after women (I see you, "Diana" and "Olivia"), "Oh Anna" is an upbeat and already supercatchy tune that even includes a short sample of George Michael's "Faith" in the middle of it. "Medicine," on the other hand . . . well, I'll leave you to interpret this track all on your own. Do what you will with the lines "I'm coming down / I figured out I kinda like it / And when I sleep I'm gonna dream of how you tasted." (My best attempt at deciphering lyrics from some shaky fan videos of the sole performance we have of this beautiful gem of a song.)
So while we not at all patiently wait to hear "Medicine" and "Oh Anna" again (and do everything in our power to demand studio versions of these songs), please relive the emotional night that was the kickoff for Harry's world tour through the eyes of fans on Twitter. And it is worth noting that these are the most SFW tweets I could find — because when you write a song like "Medicine," you're naturally going to get a whole host of raunchy reactions. I encourage you to find those on your own time.
