Williams struggled with alcoholism, with substance abuse, and in his relationship with his wife, Audrey (Elizabeth Olsen). These scenes give Hiddleston material to prove his dramatic chops, which will impress you and maybe surprise you if you mainly know Hiddleston for playing the tricksy Loki in The Avengers.

3 He's Never Played a Role Like This Before

As much as we love Loki, Hiddleston has not starred in a huge variety of movies, and this is the first time he's had the lead in a biopic. Even though reception of the movie hasn't exactly been huge, most people have agreed that Hiddleston is the strongest part of the film. Whatever happens, it's good to see Hiddleston getting these kinds of roles, which will hopefully lead to his star rising even higher.
