Angus Cloud Reportedly Wrapped 3 Film Projects Before His Death

In the days since Angus Cloud's sudden death at age 25, fans and fellow celebrities have paid their respects with heartfelt words and personal anecdotes about the "Euphoria" actor. On Aug. 3, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Cloud's legacy will live on in three posthumous film projects, including a thriller that could debut as early as 2024.

Following his breakout role as Fezco in "Euphoria," Cloud expanded his film and TV résumé with a handful of meaningful roles, including a 2019 cameo as himself in the reality TV show "The Perfect Woman." In 2021, Cloud starred alongside Ryder McLaughlin, Vince Vaughn, and Miranda Cosgrove in Mikey Alfred's "North Hollywood," a comedy-drama film loosely based on the director's life. Then, in 2023, Cloud appeared in Ethan Berger and Alex Russek's "The Line," starring Alex Wolff, Lewis Pullman, Halle Bailey, and Austin Abrams. The drama was Cloud's final onscreen appearance before his death.

In addition to his film and TV roles, Cloud also made appearances in Noah Cyrus's "All Three" music video, Juice Wrld's "Cigarettes" visual, and Becky and Karol G's "Mamiii" video.

Prior to his death, Cloud reportedly wrapped three film projects, including an untitled monster thriller from the filmmaking trio known as Radio Silence. Most recently, Radio Silence was responsible for the 2022 "Scream" movie and the "Scream VI" sequel starring Melissa Barrera, Jack Quaid, and Jenna Ortega. Their upcoming movie, originally titled "Dracula's Daughter," centers around a group of kidnappers who quickly realize one of their victims is the titular character. The thriller is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella. While the film was originally expected to make its debut in 2024, the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes have stalled production, likely pushing back the film's premiere date.

Additionally, Cloud is expected to star in Dan Brown's upcoming horror-thriller "Your Lucky Day," starring "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."'s Jason O'Mara, Sterling Beaumon, "The Purge"'s Jessica Garza, and Jason Wiles. According to the film's IMDb page, the movie is "set on Christmas Eve in a small convenience store near the bottom of the socioeconomic food chain where a hostage situation breaks out over a $156 million lottery ticket."

Cloud's third film project, "Freaky Tales," is a coming-of-age drama from "Captain Marvel" directors Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden. Set in Cloud's hometown of Oakland, CA, in 1987, "Freaky Tales" tells four interconnected stories about "love of music, movies, people, places, and memories beyond our knowable universe," per the film's IMDb page. The movie will also feature a star-studded cast, which includes Pedro Pascal, Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Jack Champion, Dominique Thorne, Normani, Keir Gilchrist, and Michelle Farrah Huang.

In a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Fleck and Bolden said, "We are so shocked and saddened by the awful news. Angus brought such a unique energy and vitality to our set and his work." They continued: "We will remember him as a bright, patient, vibrant human being and a devoted collaborator who we felt lucky to work alongside. What a devastating loss. We didn't know him long, but we will miss him dearly. Along with the rest of the world, we are thinking about his family right now, sending them strength and love."

Official release dates for Cloud's upcoming films have not yet been announced.
