Coco Jones Delivers a Chill-Inducing Performance of "ICU" at the BET Awards

Coco Jones is no stranger to attending the BET Awards, but this year's appearance may have been her biggest yet. On Sunday, the 25-year-old singer and star of "Bel-Air" made her debut performance at the ceremony, flawlessly belting out her hit "ICU" as a rainstorm poured down on her on stage.

In addition to her performance, Jones — who released her debut EP, "What I Didn't Tell You," back in November — was also crowned best new artist.

It's been a monumental year for Jones so far. In May, she secured her first No. 1 hit on the Billboard charts with her breakout single "ICU," dethroning Drake and 21 Savage's "Spin Bout U." Jones celebrated the feat on Instagram, writing, "My first number one! This is so surreal for me and I am so grateful. Thank you to everybody who has supported the record, all the stations who played it, all the fans who listened in, my team and God for the continuous blessings! Just getting started!"

The following month, Jones earned her first Gold RIAA certification for the track. "ICU is officially Gold !!!! Y'all…," she wrote on Instagram. "this is my first gold certification and I am at a loss for words. Thank you God, thank you to EVERYBODY who has made this a possibility. GRATEFUL."

Clearly, it's Jones's world, and we're all just living in it.
