That's Dr. Graham to you. Drake stars as a neurosurgeon in DJ Khaled's new "Staying Alive" music video, and seeing him suited up in scrubs has us ready for a full-body exam. The visual, which also features Lil Baby, takes place at the fictional Khaled Khaled Hospital, where doctors and nurses carry around red Solo cups, toss back tequila shots, and smoke hookah. It wouldn't be our first choice for emergency medical care, but hey, the facility seems to throw one heck of a party.
The video could double as a "Grey's Anatomy" audition for Drake, who strolls through the chaotic setting with a clipboard in hand and stethoscope draped over his shoulders like a seasoned pro at Grey Sloan Memorial. Anyone else's heart rate just increase?
The lead single off DJ Khaled's forthcoming 13th studio album, "Staying Alive" interpolates the 1977 Bee Gees hit of the same name and credits the band's three members as writers. Prior to the song and video's release, DJ Khaled teased his collaborators' characters on Instagram, introducing Drake as the head of neurosurgery, Lil Baby as the head of cardiothoracic surgery, and himself as the head of general surgery.
"Welcome to the 'Khaled Khaled Hospital — for those who didn't believe,'" he wrote. "Mission Statement: We represent the future of medicine. Our surgical residents are at the top of their class, our highly decorated doctors are at the top of their fields, and our equipment is simply put — state of the art. We are here to ensure that you are always #StayingAlive."
