Confused About Thor's Missing Eye in Avengers: Infinity War? We Got You

If you don't think Thor is one of the best parts of Avengers: Infinity War, you're wrong. In true Asgardian fashion, the God of Thunder is filled with quips and confidence, which invariably piss off the equally funny Starlord and Rocket. While we could talk forever about his best digs, most heroic moments, and very large muscles, there's a bit of a bureaucratic matter we need to address about Thor's arc. Where the hell did his eye go?! If you missed out on Thor: Ragnarok or simply forgot, we're here to refresh your memory.

As you know, the big villainess of Thor: Ragnarok is Hela. Brilliantly played by Cate Blanchett, she's the goddess of death and the sister of Thor and Loki. Hela is a pretty formidable force. She's got epic fighting skills, enough power to destroy Thor's hammer (with one hand!), and one huge-ass motherf*ckin' wolf. She's so powerful that the only way to defeat her is to unleash the fire demon Surtur and literally destroy the entire kingdom of Asgard. Sure, the entire planet is in shambles, but Hela is dead, and that's what's important.

Disney

Thor loses his eye during the earlier parts of the final battle sequence with this goddess. She casually and effortless beats him around the throne room, and then the moment happens. Hela strikes Thor across the face with her sword, literally slicing the eye from out his head right then and there. Brutal.

And that's basically it! For the remainder of Thor: Ragnarok, his eye is just simply gone. He eventually dons a sick eye patch, which honestly makes him look even more like an Asgardian snack. Luckily, he gets his eye back in Avengers: Infinity War. Well, it's not his eye, it's some random eye that Rocket pillaged at some point with the other Guardians of the Galaxy. But hey, we're sure Thor will take what he can get.
