Lewis Capaldi was tasked with bringing the power ballad vibes to the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night, and, of course, he delivered. Capaldi was nominated for four awards, and won his first-ever BRIT Award for best new artist, so he definitely had a big night.
Capaldi chose to perform his smash hit "Someone You Loved," which, until recently, was rumored to have been written about Love Island contestant Paige Turley, who is also his ex-girlfriend. However, he put those rumors to rest quickly in an interview with [V] Australia, saying the song was actually written about his late grandmother.
Capaldi's next round of live shows kick off in Manchester on March 8, and his performance at the BRIT Awards was a little taste of exactly what we can all expect from his tour. Check out the full performance above.
