9 Moments From the 2016 Oscars That People Are Still Talking About

After all the scandal and discussion surrounding #OscarsSoWhite, host Chris Rock had his work cut out for him. Still, he managed to pull off an incredible monologue that addressed the clear social issues facing black actors in Hollywood. He also happened to burn Jada Pinkett Smith and Kevin Hart, the latter of whom was sitting in the audience cracking up.

Speaking of #OscarsSoWhite, the show's writers really went out of their way to assure everyone that yes, they know it's an issue. Chris Rock, Whoopi Goldberg, Tracy Morgan, and other black actors were cropped into best picture nominees in a hilarious montage video. If you've ever wanted to see Saturday Night Live's Leslie Jones maul Leonardo DiCaprio, now is the time.

You know you're in for a treat when you see Tina Fey, and it's even better news when Steve Carell is by her side. The Date Night costars presented together and did a funny bit about Fey being drunk. Don't let their "serious" faces fool you; they're comedy dynamite.

All Louis C.K. had to do was present the award for best documentary short, but instead, he took his time to work out a bit on how unappreciated the short-form documentary filmmakers are. He pointed out that the Oscar one of them will win will literally be the most expensive thing they'll ever own and that they'll feel nervous keeping it in their sad apartment. Aww!

Unfortunately, Room's Tremblay was passed over for an Oscar nomination, but he did get to present an award with Beasts of No Nation star Abraham Attah. Rock even brought out an apple box for him to stand on! Tremblay's whole night was adorable, but nothing can top the moment he saw the Star Wars bots on stage.

Foo Fighters' Grohl took to the stage to provide a soundtrack for the In Memoriam segment, and he ended up stealing the show with a crazy-good cover of The Beatles' "Blackbird." Can we get that on Spotify, please?

Lady Gaga gave an extraordinary performance of "Til It Happens to You," her Oscar-nominated song from The Hunting Ground. Survivors joined her on stage, and by the time they were clasping hands at the end, literally every person in the room was crying.

It happened, you guys. After winning every major award all season, Leonardo DiCaprio finally won. The star of The Revenant took home best actor for his performance, receiving a standing ovation and giving a great speech. Congratulations!
