Your Guide to Spring's Biggest Blockbusters

Is Spring the new Summer? Several sequels and new franchise installments are being unleashed upon us in March, April, and May this year. You won't need to wait until the heat is sweltering to seek refuge in a theater; chances are, you'll want to see at least a few of these on their opening weekends.   • The scoop: Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron are back for the sequel to 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman. While Kristen Stewart is out, Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt are in. Seems like a fair trade, no?

Captain America: Civil War

  • The scoop: Chris Evans picks up his shield for the third Captain America movie. A bunch of the usual suspects (plus some new faces) will star in the film, which finds Captain America squaring off against Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. The most exciting part, however, might be that the new Spider-Man is making his debut.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

  • The scoop: Zac Efron is no longer causing trouble for Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne in the Neighbors sequel, but luckily he's still without a shirt. This time, a sorority moves in next door to Kelly (Byrne) and Mac (Rogen), headed up by party girl Shelby (Chloë Grace Moretz).

  • The scoop: When you play Angry Birds on your cell phone, do you ever think to yourself, "Man, I wish this was a movie?" If so, you're in luck. And yes, those green pig monsters are the villains.

  • The scoop: We're all due for a dose of Ryan Gosling. He's returning to the big screen for this cop comedy, costarring Russell Crowe. It's set in 1970s Los Angeles, meaning we're probably going to get some truly groovy fashion moments from both of them. (See above.)

  • The scoop: Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, and more of your favorite mutants are reprising their roles for the latest X-Men film. They're battling an ancient villain called Apocalypse, played by franchise newcomer Oscar Isaac.
