22 Halloween Costume Ideas Inspired by RuPaul's Drag Race's Snatch Game
Suffice it to say, RuPaul's Drag Race is one of TV's hidden gems. Seeing as it's had eight great seasons and only just earned its first Emmy nomination, it seems that the rest of the world is just catching on. But we've known for a while that the show's sick'ning, and the queens always serve stunning looks, hilarious quotes, and maybe a bit of drama. And one of the most iconic episodes every season is "Snatch Game," where the queens impersonate celebrities, icons, and stars for a hilarious take on Match Game. We've rounded up the best looks, just to appreciate them. But also, like, Halloween is coming quick, and we have to admit, these are pretty great costume ideas.
Adele
Ginger Minj's spot-on impersonation of Adele was made all the better by her seemingly endless array of on-hand snacks.
Judge Judy
Bianca Del Rio nailed everything about Judge Judy, including iconic catch phrases such as "BALONEY!"
Little Edie Bouvier Beale
If you've seen Grey Gardens, you'll know that Jinkx Monsoon's impersonation of Little Edie was damn near flawless. The mannerisms, the accent, the look . . . it's all sensational.
Dame Maggie Smith
What could delight more than this take on Dame Maggie Smith? BenDeLaCreme clearly seemed to be tapping into that Downton Abbey realness, and we couldn't have been more delighted.
Paula Deen
Darienne Lake knew exactly what to do, from how to dress to how many cupcakes to consume.
Jessica Simpson
Willam really committed to her version of Jessica Simpson, with delightful results. Bonus points for the misspelled name card.
Taylor Swift
The giggling, the general innocence, the hearts . . . Jade Jolie's pop star impression had 1989 written all over it.
Cher
Chad Michaels is a known Cher impersonator, so it's no question that she knocked this one out of the park . . . with three wigs, to boot.
Britney Spears
Another famous impersonator, Derrick Barry looks so much like Britney Jean Spears in drag that it's almost eerie. How could she not pull out all the stops for Snatch Game?!
Kim Kardashian
While Gia Gunn's turn as Kim Kardashian may ultimately have fallen flat, the look was on point and the idea was golden.
Tina Turner
Shangela's interpretation of Turner was a little helter-skelter, but still delightful to behold.
Marilyn Monroe
Ivy Winters served so much old Hollywood fierceness, we couldn't help but sing, "Happy birthday, Mr. President."
Little Richard
Technically, Kennedy Davenport's Little Richard got shade from the other queens on the season; since Little Richard is a man, could it really be considered drag? Even so, the over-the-top behavior (partially depicted above) was enough to delight RuPaul, who deemed Kennedy Davenport the winner of the challenge.
Tyra Banks
If we learned anything from Raja's take on Tyra Banks, it's that you can, in fact, smize too hard.
Carol Channing
Yes, Pandora Boxx really nailed her Carol Channing impression in season two, but we have to give credit to Bob the Drag Queen as well . . . mostly because she switched halfway through after spending the first part of the game as Orange Is the New Black's Uzo Aduba.
Paris Hilton
We have only one thing to say to Raven in light of this: "That's hot."
Lady Gaga
Phi Phi O'Hara knew how to put those paws up.
Aretha Franklin
Once again, food is a crucial part of the look here. But even without the snacks, Latrice Royale had this one nailed all by herself.
Katy Perry
Alyssa Edwards didn't 100 percent slay her Katy Perry act, but it didn't matter. She still looked like a "Teenage Dream."
Suze Orman
Who wouldn't want advice from this incarnation of Suze Orman, so effortlessly portrayed by comedy queen Katya?
Beyoncé Knowles
Kenya Michaels gave us a Beyoncé that was a little too wild and a little too weird, but, well, we'll still take it.
Ke$ha
Detox definitely brushed her teeth with a bottle of Jack, from the looks of it.
