Dancing With the Stars Winners: Where Are They Now?

It's hard to believe it's been 11 years and 23 seasons since Dancing With the Stars debuted on ABC. These days, we're all dancing experts with a keen eye for twirls, lifts, box steps, and dips, and don't even get us started on the meta-stylings of one Maureen McCormick, aka Marcia Brady, on this week's episode. Here's a look back at all the winners from over the years, and a peek at what they're doing now.

Kelly Monaco
ABC

Kelly Monaco

Former Playmate and current soap star Monaco was the very first recipient of the coveted mirror ball. Since her inaugural win in 2005, she has continued to play fan favorite Sam on General Hospital. 2006 was a big year for Kelly; she went on to host the Daytime Emmys, the Miss USA pageant, and the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood burlesque act Peepshow. In 2011, she starred in the E! reality series Dirty Soap, which followed the lives of daytime soap opera stars but was canceled after one season.

Drew Lachey
ABC

Drew Lachey

Lachey is a former 98 Degrees star, and following his big win on DWTS, he and the band briefly reunited. In 2015, he and his brother Nick had their own reality show, Lachey's Bar, in which they attempted to open a bar in Cincinnati, OH. Following the reality show's cancellation in 2015, he joined the MY2K tour with other popular musical acts of the 2000s, including Ryan Cabrera and O-Town.

Emmitt Smith
ABC

Emmitt Smith

Smith may have won the mirror ball, but these days he's more likely to be found in the boardroom instead of the ball room. He runs several companies spanning real estate, construction, and technology. In 2011, he wrote a book called Game On, which focuses on his strategies on and off the field.

Apolo Ohno
ABC

Apolo Ohno

Speed skating champ and eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Ohno went on to have quite the gameshow career after his DWTS win. He hosted the GSN version of Minute to Win It in 2013, and did pretty well on Jane Lynch's popular Hollywood Game Night earlier this year.

Hélio Castroneves
ABC

Hélio Castroneves

This driver didn't let his season five win slow him down one bit! He's still racing cars and will return for his 17th season with Team Penske in 2016, driving the No. 3 Indy car.

Kristi Yamaguchi
ABC

Kristi Yamaguchi

Maybe earning so many figure skating gold medals made Kristi Yamaguchi a shoo-in for Dancing With the Stars, or maybe she's just a natural. Either way, she parlayed her win into a lucrative post-reality show career. She has written several successful children's books, the first being Dream Big, Little Pig. Probably inspired all that rehearsing, she also launched an activewear line for women called Tsu.ya.

Brooke Burke-Charvet
ABC

Brooke Burke-Charvet

Brooke Burke not only won her season of DTWS, but she also came back as as a host! She replaced Samantha Harris in 2010, but was then replaced with Erin Andrews a couple years later. She battled thyroid cancer in 2012 and came in second place on the Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars the same year. These days, she's cashing in with two successful lifestyle brands: Baboosh Baby is a must-have collection for expecting moms and Modern Mom is all about coping with new motherhood.

Shawn Johnson
ABC

Shawn Johnson

While Johnson won the gold medal for balance beam in 2008, it was her dancing that earned her the nickname "No Stress Express." Since her win on season eight, she's made a few cameos on Secret Life of the American Teenager and the celebrity edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Donny Osmond
ABC

Donny Osmond

He may be best known as half of Donny and Marie, but he stole the show in season nine. Reclaiming his place with his sister, they have an ongoing residency in Las Vegas. Earlier this year, he released The Soundtrack of My Life, which is available on Amazon.

Nicole Scherzinger
ABC

Nicole Scherzinger

Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger is now on the other side of the judges' table; she's done stints on the American and British version of the popular reality talent show X-Factor. Her 2011 solo effort Killer Love is available for download and purchase.

Jennifer Grey
ABC

Jennifer Grey

She's come a long way from being a put in a corner. Jennifer Grey really showed her dancing chops when she won season 11. Notably married to Marvel: Agents of Shield star Clark Gregg, Jennifer is still a working actress. Check out the former Baby in Lifetime's The Bling Ring and Amazon's Red Oaks.

Hines Ward
ABC

Hines Ward

Sometimes called "the greatest wide receiver in Steelers history," Hines had his work cut out for him on DWTS. After his season 12 win, he appeared with brief cameos in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises and as a zombie in the TV series The Walking Dead. He is currently a studio analyst for NBC's Football Night in America.

J.R. Martinez
ABC

J.R. Martinez

In one of the most inspiring stories in the Dancing With the Stars legacy, J.R. Williams came to the show as a former US Army soldier who was severely burned during active duty. He was also a soap veteran, having played Brot Monroe on All My Children in 2008. After claiming the season 13 ball, he's gone on to a successful career as an actor, author, and motivational speaker.

Donald Driver
ABC

Donald Driver

A former Green Bay Packer, the season 14 winner went on to write three children's books, the most popular being Quickie Goes to the Big Game, plus an autobiography titled Driven.

Melissa Rycroft
ABC

Melissa Rycroft

Melissa is no stranger to reality TV, having starred on the 13th season of The Bachelor and CMT's Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. After her season eight win, she returned to DWTS for the all-star season and went on to host Redneck Island.

Kellie Pickler
ABC

Kellie Pickler

We first met Kellie Pickler on American Idol, then fell in love with her as a successful country music artist. She was spunky and fearless on season 16, and that certainly didn't get in the way of her win. Kellie seemed born for reality TV, and in 2015 she and her husband Kyle Jacobs starred in their own show, I Love Kellie Pickler. This made her a natural fit for her spot on Celebrity Family Feud earlier this year.

Amber Riley
ABC

Amber Riley

Not only can Amber Riley sing, but she can dance too. Proof? Her season 17 win. Amber finished up the final seasons on the hit show Glee and went on to play Addaperle on NBC's live production of The Wiz.

Meryl Davis
ABC

Meryl Davis

Meryl Davis was a competitive ice dancer when she won season 18 with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She continued to dance after her win, and she and her ice-dancing partner appeared with five other Olympians in the one-hour NBC special How to Raise an Olympian.

Alfonso Ribeiro
ABC

Alfonso Ribeiro

Doing the Carlton wasn't Alfonso Ribeiro's only dance move, and he proved it by taking home the top prize in season 19. He was so charismatic and likable on DWTS, he went on to take over Tom Bergeron's long-time spot on America's Funniest Home Videos. Tom, who currently hosts DWTS, was on AFV for 15 years.

Rumer Willis
ABC

Rumer Willis

Mostly known for being Demi Moore and Bruce Willis's daughter, Rumer really showed her talent by winning the 20th season. She and her coach, Val Chmerkovskiy, infamously formed a very close friendship and have remained super tight ever since. She took her DWTS experience and went straight to Broadway as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.

Bindi Irwin
ABC

Bindi Irwin

Bindi Irwin was America's Australian sweetheart. When she won season 21, we all felt such pride, and her tribute to her late father, Steve Irwin, was incredibly touching. These days, she's not doing much other than being a regular ol' teenager. Bindi recently turned 18 and got her license in her home country. She's pretty active on Instagram, and often posts sweet memories and "day in the life" kind of stuff.

Nyle DiMarco
ABC

Nyle DiMarco

Possibly the most good-looking (IMO) winner of the series, Nyle DiMarco made DWTS audiences swoon with his sexy moves, which he might have learned from his time on America's Next Top Model. Nyle didn't let his status as a deaf person stop him from slaying the competition, and it's no surprise he was the runaway hit of the 22nd season.

Speaking of slaying, you can see Nyle in the Chippendale Fall review in Las Vegas, as well as several acting gigs. He's done small parts on Hulu's Difficult People and Freeform's Switched at Birth.
