1964: The FIRST Time a Winner Was Mistakenly Named

This year wasn't the only time a presenter has called the wrong winner. At the 1942 awards, Sammy Davis Jr. was given the wrong envelope and announced that the winner for best music, scoring of music, adaptation or treatment was John Addison for Tom Jones. The real winner was Irma La Douce's André Previn!
