17 Very Real Things That Happen at a Backstreet Boys Concert in Las Vegas

I have been a Backstreet Boys fan for as long as I can remember, so when I heard about the boys' Las Vegas residency, I knew I had to go. While I had seen them make guest appearances at a couple of other shows before, I had never officially experienced an actual Backstreet Boys concert with only them, and let me just tell you, it was magical. From the signature dance moves to the nostalgic hits to the matching outfits, it was everything I'd ever hoped for and more.

If you just happen to be in Vegas or you're thinking about checking them out, honestly, do it. I can promise you that you'll have the time of your life no matter how old you are, because let's face it — they truly are larger than life. To give you an idea of what you're getting into, here's a breakdown of the emotional roller coaster you can expect at a Backstreet Boys concert.

Stepping Into the Venue With a Bunch of Grown Women Decked Out in Their Best BSB Merchandise

Walking into Planet Hollywood's The Axis was like walking into a club. Grown women everywhere, sporting their best Backstreet Boys t-shirts and sipping cocktails out of blue Backstreet Boys tumblers.

Finding My Seat and Assessing the Crowd

Once I made it to my seat, I looked around and noticed there were tons of anxious fans just like me, waiting for their lives to be made.

Feeling the Nostalgia Take Over Me as Old BSB Videos Played on the Screen

All of a sudden, the arena went dark, and old Backstreet Boys music videos started playing on the screen. It immediately took me back to the time I forced my uncle to drive me to Walmart to buy the Backstreet Boys documentary (I was like 8 or 9 years old, give me a break).

The boys went backstage to change for the next part of their set, and then suddenly, I heard a bunch of people yelling just a few rows in front of me.

It was A.J.! In the flesh! Without thinking twice, I bolted toward the aisle, squeezing past the people in my row, determined to make it to A.J. as fast as possible.

Once the show was over, I knew I had to see them again. I texted my cousin, who also loves the Backstreet Boys, and we're currently planning another Vegas trip. Luckily, they recently extended their residency, so we have plenty of time to see them in action!
