Brie Larson Is Ready to Kick Alien Ass and Take Names in New Captain Marvel Photos

After what's felt like an eternity, we finally have a solid glimpse of Marvel's first female-led superhero film, Captain Marvel. The news that Brie Larson would be embodying the iconic role of Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel) was announced at Comic-Con way back in 2016, and over the past two years, quite a few details have trickled out. We know who the villain will be (Rogue One's Ben Mendelsohn), that some familiar faces are set to return (a very young Nick Fury and Agent Phil Coulson, among others), and that Jude Law is playing Doctor Walter Lawson (aka Mar-Vell). And now, we have a ton of photos!

Filming for Captain Marvel officially kicked off in March, which Marvel celebrated by sharing a behind-the-scenes photo of Larson posing on a fighter jet while wearing a flight suit alongside Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, whom she met while on a trip to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to research the Carol Danvers character. Since then, the studio has released stills from the film that show Captain Marvel in all her red and blue glory, as well as shots of some sinister aliens and Carol Danvers' closest allies.

All in all, it looks like the film is shaping up to be something pretty incredible (especially now that we've seen the kickass trailer). Keep scrolling to see more photos from Captain Marvel!
