One of the most iconic movies about high school cliques and hierarchies is definitely "The Breakfast Club." This '80s classic follows five very different teenagers as they're serving an all-day Saturday detention. Stuck together with nothing else to do to pass the time, they start out in conflict with each other but slowly start to open up about what's really going on in their lives. As it turns out, they have more in common than they thought, especially when it comes to dealing with the adults in their lives. Even as they start to bond with each other, they're left wondering if their friendships will last or if they'll go right back to their cliques on Monday as if nothing had ever happened, pointing out the power of these unspoken social "rules."
