PSA: The Venom Cast Is Incredibly Stacked

Inception actor Tom Hardy will appear as antihero Eddie Brock (otherwise known as Venom), an investigative journalist who inadvertently becomes host to an amorphous alien (a "Symbiote") that gives Eddie superhuman abilities.

Michelle Williams, who won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in 2016's My Week With Marilyn, will play Eddie's girlfriend, a district attorney named Anne Weying.

Riz Ahmed — known as Riz MC and for his appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — will appear in the movie as the evil Dr. Carlton Drake, a prominent scientist and the CEO of the Life Foundation, an organization that runs controversial experiments on human test subjects involving amorphous lifeforms known as Symbiotes.

Best known for the insane transformation he underwent to play Lester Ballard in 2013's Child of God, Scott Haze will play Roland Treece, the head of Treece International and partner of Carlton Drake.

Reid Scott, who played Brando in the comedy series My Boys, is going to take on the role of Patrick Mulligan, a New York City police officer who becomes host to another Symbiote named Toxin.

Stand-up comedian and actress Jenny Slate will appear in the movie as Dora Skirth, a scientist who works for the Life Foundation and an original character created for the film.

Woody Harrelson (also known as Haymitch Abernathy from The Hunger Games) will play Venom's Symbiote archnemesis Carnage, whose human host is Cletus Kasady, a deeply disturbed serial killer.

Sope Aluko, who appears as a shaman in Black Panther, has also been confirmed to be part of the cast, but her role has not yet been revealed.
