Mamma Mia's Older Bill Has Not 1, Not 2, but 3 Famous Sons

While you may have spent the weekend swooning over Young Bill in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, played by Josh Dylan, you might have overlooked the Swedish icon who plays his elder counterpart, Stellan Skarsgård. The actor representing ABBA's native roots starred in over 25 Scandinavian films before gaining international recognition in the Academy Award-nominated 1990 historical drama The Hunt for Red October. He went on to appear in Good Will Hunting seven years later starring opposite Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and the late Robin Williams. Skarsgård has also found success in various Disney franchises such as Pirates of The Caribbean and the Marvel Universe (he plays astrophysicist Dr. Erik Selvig in the latter, working with the Avengers in four films).

Acting clearly runs in the Skarsgård family's genes, because you definitely know his sons. While he has eight children in total, the most recognizable and eldest of the bunch is Alexander Skarsgård of Big Little Lies and True Blood fame. His younger brother, Gustaf, has a starring role as a Norse shipbuilder in the sexy series Vikings and also appears in HBO's dystopian drama Westworld. However, the lineage of hot brothers doesn't end there. The youngest of the three, Bill, ironically enough, is currently creeping it up in the Stephen King series Castle Rock, following his terrifying portrayal of Pennywise in It last year. If you need photographic evidence of their miraculous bloodline, here is a gallery of the glorious men together throughout the years. Mamma mia, indeed!
