Claire Foy Isn't the Only Familiar Face in The Girl in the Spider's Web

If you're skeptical about the all-new cast for The Girl in the Spider's Web, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2011's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, don't be — Rooney Mara may have killed it as the original Lisbeth Salander, but we have a feeling the former star of The Crown, Claire Foy, will also make for a damn good hacker. The forthcoming movie skips to the fourth book in the Swedish Millennium series, created by Stieg Larsson, and we can't wait to see Foy tackle a shadowy Russian crime organization known as the Spider Society and the reappearance of her manipulative twin sister. Claire Foy as Lisbeth Salander

Best known for starring in The Crown as Queen Elizabeth II, Claire Foy will take over the role of computer hacker Lisbeth Salander from original actress Rooney Mara.

Sverrir Gudnason as Mikael Blomkvist

Swedish actor Sverrir Gudnason will take over the role of Mikael Blomkvist, an investigative journalist who works alongside Salander once again to investigate a mysterious criminal organization known as the Spider Society. The character was played by Daniel Craig in the previous film.

Lakeith Stanfield as Ed Needham

Lakeith Stanfield — also known as Darius Epps from FX's Atlanta — will appear in the film as Ed "The Ned" Needham, an NSA security expert who pursues Salander after she helps a group of hackers gain access to the NSA servers.

Sylvia Hoeks as Camilla Salander

Best known for playing Luv in Blade Runner 2049, Dutch actress Sylvia Hoeks is set to play Lisbeth's estranged twin sister Camilla Salander, who tries to seduce Blomkvist in order to gain access to her sister.

Stephen Merchant as Frans Balder

Stephen Merchant, who is best known for his collaborations with Ricky Gervais (including cowriting and codirecting the original UK version of The Office), will appear as Frans Balder, a computer scientist who learns he is in danger from the Spider Society.

Claes Bang as Jan Holtser

Danish actor and musician Claes Bang will make his major film debut as Jan Holster, a shadowy and mysterious figure stalking Salander.

Cameron Britton as Plague

Cameron Britton, who plays Ed Kemper in the Netflix crime drama Mindhunter, is set to play Plague, a computer expert and close associate of Salander's whom she often reaches out to for help.

Andreja Pejić as Maria

Bosnian-born Australian transgender model Andreja Pejić will make her film debt as Maria.

Synnove Macody Lund

Norwegian journalist and film critic Synnove Macody Lund is confirmed to be part of the upcoming film, though her role has not yet been revealed.

Vicky Krieps

Luxembourgish actress Vicky Krieps, best known for costarring in Phantom Thread alongside Daniel Day-Lewis, will appear in the film, though her role isn't yet known.

Volker Bruch

Best known for his leading roles as Wilhelm Winter in Generation War and as Inspector Gereon Rath in Babylon Berlin, German actor Volker Bruch is confirmed to be part of the cast, though his role hasn't yet been announced.

Saskia Rosendahl

Saskia Rosendahl, who starred in the German-British-Australian historical drama Lore, will appear in the film, though her role isn't yet known.
