The Trio Voicing the Hyenas in the Lion King Reboot Couldn't Be More Perfect

Just knowing that Beyoncé is a part of The Lion King's remake is enough to make us preorder our tickets, but the rest of the cast is pretty close to perfect, too — especially the trio voicing treacherous Scar's hyena henchmen. Shenzi, Azizi (replacing Banzai from the original movie), and Kamari (replacing Ed) will be voiced by Florence Kasumba, Eric Andre, and Keegan-Michael Key, respectively, and we're practically hysterical with excitement.

Eric Andre

Comedian Eric Andre is the creator and host of Adult Swim's The Eric Andre Show — a parody of public-access talk shows with pranks, interviews, and sketches — that debuted in 2012 and has been running for four seasons. Andre has also appeared on several sitcoms, including Mike on FXX's Man Seeking Woman, Mark on ABC comedy Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, and Deke on 2 Broke Girls. He is no stranger to voice acting, as he voices Luci in the Netflix animated show Disenchantment.

Keegan-Michael Key

Keegan-Michael Key spent six seasons as a Mad TV cast member before becoming one-half of the Comedy Central sketch duo Key & Peele, which ran from 2012 to 2015. Since then, Key has appeared on several shows, even landing starring roles on USA's Playing House and Netflix's original series Friends From College, which will return for a second season next year. As well as playing roles in movies such as Let's Be Cops, Tomorrowland, and Pitch Perfect 2, Key has lent his voice to several animated films, including The Lego Movie, the Hotel Transylvania franchise, and Toy Story 4.

We can't wait to hear this epic trio cackling together when The Lion King hits theaters next year!
