Beyoncé Has a Documentary Special Coming to Netflix — Y'all Mind If I Scream?

I've composed myself long enough to deliver the wonderful news that Beyoncé is not only working on new music, but she also has a Netflix special coming later this month! That's right, Queen Bey doesn't sleep and is always buzzing around, looking for more ways to remind us that she reigns supreme.

On April 3, Us Weekly confirmed that the 37-year-old singer and actress has recorded a "couple of new tracks [for] a deluxe album filled with old songs." Once that album is released, it will be the first solo LP she's dropped since her 2016 masterpiece Lemonade. The outlet also revealed that she's been working on a Netflix documentary that will focus on her history-making 2018 Coachella performance (those cameras at the concert were so high-definition for a reason — we see you, Bey).

A few days after seeing Netflix's tweet with a promo photo, the streaming platform dropped a full trailer for the documentary, which is officially titled, Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé. The footage contains plenty of behind-the-scenes moments (with Blue Ivy! And JAY-Z!) and also reveals that it will arrive on Netflix on April 17.

Between Beyoncé's On the Run II tour with husband JAY-Z (and their joint album, Everything Is Love) and her Coachella set, we thought she pretty much dominated in 2018. But it looks like this year is gearing up to be a rather momentous one for the mother of three. She's already received notable honors at the GLAAD Media Awards and the NAACP Image Awards, and she's starring in the upcoming highly anticipated remake of The Lion King. So, prepare for another year full of Beyoncé being her iconic self!
