What I'm Listening to This Week: Vampire Weekend, Lolo Zouaï, and Revisiting Rihanna's ANTI

Welcome to What I'm Listening to This Week, a new feature in which we literally just tell you what we're listening to this week — and why you should slam the play button.

I'll be honest, I haven't heard much over the sounds of my own sobs this week — Baby Archie has got me shook, y'all! — but at least I had a nice soundtrack for my happy tears. This was also the week that I revisited Rihanna's 2016 album ANTI, and I'm delighted to report that it's still as incredible as it was three years ago. See what else was music to my ears when you keep reading.

"Caffeine" by Lolo Zouaï

The title says it all, really — this song is a jolt of energy. The beat is perfect to run (or twerk) to, and there's a high possibility that you won't be able to get the chorus out of your head.

ANTI by Rihanna

ANTI by Rihanna

This album came out over three years ago, and since I'm not-patiently-at-all waiting for new music from Rihanna, I decided to revisit it. Spoiler alert: it still slaps.

Standout track: "Needed Me" — because they did, right? They all did.

Father of the Bride by Vampire Weekend

Father of the Bride by Vampire Weekend

The fourth studio album from Ezra Koenig and co. features the indie band's signature jovial, upbeat anthems and explores themes of love, complacency, and rebirth. It's great background music for getting work done, but I'm also very much looking forward to listening to it during a sunny park day all season long.

Standout track: "Unbearably White" — because after I stopped chuckling at the title, I realized what a great breakup song it actually is.
