Rihanna's groundbreaking pregnancy style is second to none. Since debuting her third pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala in a gray Miu Miu skirt fresh off the runway (as if her first two pregnancy announcements weren't monumental enough), the superstar continuously raises the bar for maternity style. She's produced many awe-inspiring fashion moments as of late — from her reimagination of the the quintessential power suit in pieces from Erl's fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection while going shirtless to donning a fur stole for a summer's night out at her favorite Los Angeles hotspot, Giorgio Baldi. The occasion? Well, being Rihanna.

While making history as the first Barbadian entertainer, billionaire, and expectant mom to rock the Super Bowl halftime stage in 2023, she wore a red Loewe utility jumpsuit and vinyl bra plate — making for one of her most iconic fashion moments to date.

"I'm not gonna buy maternity pants, jeans, dresses, or [do] whatever society told me to do before."

Having worked with stylist Jahleel Weaver, she's produced many trendsetting street looks and jaw-dropping red carpet moments, including that vintage pink Chanel puffer coat and low-rise jeans combo that broke the internet as she unveiled her first baby bump with partner A$AP Rocky. The entrepreneur also established an unconventional pregnancy wardrobe that changed the narrative of what to wear while expecting. "It's been me personally saying, I'm not going to buy maternity clothes. I'm not gonna buy maternity pants, jeans, dresses, or [do] whatever society told me to do before," she told Bustle. "So, I challenged myself to push it further and really just have fun with [maternity style]. Because there's nothing more fun than a challenge for me."

At this point, Rihanna has more than succeeded at rewriting dress codes, trading in loose-fitting maxi dresses and leggings for bump-baring silhouettes like crop tops, leather dresses, and shredded sets, inspiring stars such as Shay Mitchell to do the same.
