The Friday Drop: Leslie Odom Jr., Aitana, Megan Thee Stallion, and More New Music This Week

What better way to kick off October than with new music? This week, Blackpink dropped their first studio album appropriately titled The Album, Megan Thee Stallion teamed up with Young Thug for their fire "Don't Stop" collaboration, and Leslie Odom Jr. joined forces with Sia for a beautiful ballad that I've been playing on repeat. It also has me questioning whether he in fact is the Serpent on season four of The Masked Singer. Hmm . . .

As POPSUGAR editors, my colleagues and I love discussing our new weekly music finds, so check out our recommendations in the latest edition of The Friday Drop.

"Cold" by Leslie Odom Jr. and Sia

"Now that it's officially fall, it's time to warm up with a good love song, and this one is hitting me with all the feels. In this hopeful ballad, Odom Jr. and Sia sing about giving love another shot even after all the heartbreaks, and it instantly takes me back to when my boyfriend first convinced me to give him a chance seven years ago. One of the best decisions I've ever made, if I'm being honest. Oh, and did I mention Odom Jr. and Sia's voices blend like the smoothest of butter?" — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Lie Like This" by Julia Michaels

"Because I'm clearly still in my feelings, I had to add this track by Michaels. This one has more of a club-pop feel to it, but it's still a banger with a similar message to Odom Jr. and Sia's 'Cold.'" — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Don’t Stop” by Megan Thee Stallion feat. Young Thug

"OK, Megan snapped with this one! Not only is the song a bonafide banger, but the music video is a cinematic tour de force. You better believe this is making it on my 'Get Down With the Get Down' playlist." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Corazón Sin Vida" by Aitana and Sebastián Yatra

"When I saw this collaboration come up on my Spotify Release Radar, I knew I was in for some pop goodness. Aitana's sweet voice is the perfect compliment to Yatra's smooth sound and chill vibes. This is the kind of song that sets my Friday mood, and I can't wait to play it on my next road trip!" — Charisandra Perez, social media and partnerships coordinator

“Baby” by Brandon

"I think I found my official wind-down song. All I want to do is make myself a cup of tea, sit back, and listen to Brandon's new track. I also love the music video, which I'll admit is a little bias since it was filmed in my hometown of Riverside, CA. Shoutout to the artists out there representing the Inland Empire!" — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Outta Time" by Bryson Tiller feat. Drake

"I have to admit that I've been loving all of Tiller's new music lately, but this feature with Drake instantly puts me in a chill mood. It's perfect for a night drive with the windows rolled down and the brisk air blowing all around." — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Bet You Wanna” by Blackpink feat. Cardi B

"Blackpink and Cardi B? What. A. Collab. Blackpink's debut album has a handful of fun bops, but this one is definitely a standout. It's full of energy and has me ready to dance through my apartment, to my roommates' chagrin." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Not Another Love Song” by Ella Mai

"Ella Mai has made her musical return! It's been two years since she released her debut album, and fans have been patiently waiting for her next solo drop. Well, it's finally here, and I couldn't be more excited. I always get in my feelings whenever I listen to Mai's music, and this song isn't any different. The London-born songstress croons about being in love but not wanting to admit it, and if there's anything I can relate to, it's emotional denial." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment
