Silk Sonic have taken over Las Vegas. The group, led by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, kicked off their residency, "An Evening With Silk Sonic," in February, and it's more than just a concert — it's an entire experience.

I recently got the opportunity to experience this magic, and as soon as the glittering red curtain went up at the Dolby Live theater inside Park MGM, I was immediately transported to the disco era, with Mars and .Paak's soulful vocals and lush harmonies serving as my guides. In those 90 minutes, Mars and .Paak were able to release me from all my stress, worries, and anxieties, allowing me to just escape and have a good time. And as I looked around the venue, I knew I wasn't the only one.

The show is truly unlike any other. If you haven't been able to witness the magic for yourself, check out all the things you can expect from Silk Sonic's dazzling residency ahead.

Lots of Laughs

If you thought Mars and .Paak's back-and-forth banter on Twitter was hilarious, imagine having a front-row seat to it. Their energy is infectious, their chemistry is palpable, and the jokes just don't stop. Why hasn't "Saturday Night Live" asked them to host yet? The rest of the world needs to experience the magic that ensues when Silk Sonic are on stage together.

Tons of Nostalgia

From the outfits to the stage design to the soulful song samples, Silk Sonic's Las Vegas residency will transport you back to the '70s as soon as you walk through the doors. And if that doesn't do it for you, then .Paak's mushroom-cut wig will surely do the trick.

To add to the nostalgia, Mars and .Paak also belt out a few of their famous solo hits, including "That's What I Like," "Am I Wrong," and "Runaway Baby," on top of the songs from their "An Evening With Silk Sonic" LP.

An Escape From Reality

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant when I found out about the no-phone policy at the show, but once I stepped inside, I forgot all about the texts and hundreds of emails waiting for me on my phone. However, Mars and .Paak did not waste any time teasing the crowd as they jokingly sang, "We took your phones away, we took your phones away." But trust me, as soon as they start singing, you'll forget all about not being able to use your phone — unless you feel like capturing a photo or video, of course. At least you'll have the memories, right?

Lush Harmonies and Silky-Smooth Lyrics

At this point, I'm just stating the obvious, but Silk Sonic are so much better live! Between the harmonies, the choreographed dances, and the crowd's cheers, I was reminded of just how much I've missed live music and dancing at concerts.

A Damn Good Time!

Ultimately, Silk Sonic's Las Vegas residency is just an all-around feel-good time. I was able to disconnect, dance, and sing my heart out throughout the entire 90 minutes. I can't even begin to remember the last time I felt that way. If you hadn't had a chance to check out Silk Sonic live in concert, tickets for "An Evening With Silk Sonic" are available here from now until May 29.
