Nigeria has always looked up to her father, a leader in their community, but when her mother suddenly vanishes, she begins to question what life beyond their world looks like. When Nigeria attends the Quaker school her mother wished for her to attend, her decision brings forth a myriad of opinions from within her community, and Nigeria begins to find conflicts between her life and her family and who she is truly meant to become.
