Lilah, a young woman with hearing loss, hopes to preserve her newfound safe haven in "Give Me a Sign" by Anna Sortino. Lilah grows frustrated as she struggles to communicate with family and friends, especially at school with less-than-adequate accommodations. Hoping to find a bigger Deaf community, Lilah returns to her childhood American Sign Language camp, where she meets Isaac, a charming fellow camper Lilah can't help but feel drawn to. As Lilah finally finds a place where people truly understand her, she learns the camp is under the threat of closing and joins the fight to to keep it open.
