"All That's Left to Say" is Emery Lord's exploration of one young woman's grief while investigating a private school's social hierarchy. Maryland teen Hannah is still reeling from the loss of her cousin Sophie, who died suddenly one year ago from an overdose. Hannah has never understood how Sophie got into drugs, and the only way to get answers is by heading to Sophie's former elite private school Ingleside Country Day School. There, Hannah meets all the people Sophie used to rub shoulders with, soon becoming integrated into their lives, finding empathy for Sophie's friends, and finding new love. Everything culminates on prom night. By the end of the night, Hannah's in trouble for pulling the fire alarm before the announcement of prom queen. But the question is, why?
