The powerful witches trapped on the island of Angela Montoya's "Sinner's Isle" are both feared for their powers but desired by wealthy men who want to use them for their own benefit. Rumors are flying about this year's forthcoming Offering that Rosalinda will be the most pursued witch, and if she plans on ever striking out on her own, she will have to escape before that night. Pirate Mariano washes up on the shore of Sinner's Isle, and though he plans on making a quick escape, he keeps getting drawn to Rosalinda. With the arrival of the Offering, Rosalinda and Mariano both need to get off the island, lest Rosalinda's power veer out of control, but getting away from the island might mean getting away from each other, and neither is quite sure if that's what they want.
