Once upon a time, Sunny, Mina, and Candie, the stars of Linda Cheng's debut, "Gorgeous Gruesome Faces," were on top of the world. The future looked bright for the members of the rising K-pop group Sweet Cadence until tragedy struck, leaving Sunny and Candie to face the aftermath of their group being ripped apart. Two years later, a K-pop workshop is a chance for Sunny to return to life in the limelight, but her devastating past comes back to haunt her as competitors in the workshop start turning up dead. If she wants to uncover the truth about what happened to cause the implosion of her own group, and stop history from repeating itself, Sunny will have to dive into the ugly underbelly of the entertainment industry if there's any hope of shining a light on the truth.
