Taraji P. Henson Sings the House Down in the New "Color Purple" Movie Musical Trailer

Right now, it's unclear if the movie musical version of "The Color Purple" will feature new songs in addition to the originals in the Broadway play. But director Bazawule did confirm that the film inherited "brilliant music" from the stage production. He also teased that the songs will include nods to jazz, blues, and gospel throughout each era in the movie.
