"Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts and Amber Laign's romance goes back nearly 20 years. The two met on a blind date in July 2005, but kept their relationship under wraps for eight years, as reported by Us Weekly. A year after Roberts received a bone marrow transplant to treat myelodysplastic syndrome, she reflected on the time in a Facebook post and thanked people close in her life, including Amber, whom she named as her longtime girlfriend. At the end of 2022, the couple got engaged, and on Sept. 8, they officially wed in an intimate backyard ceremony with friends and family present. "We are immensely grateful to all for making it a day and a night to remember. Honeymoon here we come," Roberts wrote on Instagram.
