Ever since The Weeknd first uttered the words "the dawn is coming" earlier this year, we've been waiting with bated breath for the dawn to arrive. Well, folks, the time has finally come. On Aug. 6, the singer dropped the full video for "Take My Breath" after previously teasing the song as part of a Tokyo Olympics ad featuring track and field stars Sydney McLaughlin, Dalilah Muhammad, Athing Mu, and Gabby Thomas. Originally scheduled to air in Imax theaters this week before The Suicide Squad, Variety reported the visual was pulled due to "intense strobe lighting." The video now comes with an epilepsy warning. On Aug. 10, The Weeknd gave fans another treat as he shared the extended version of the track.

Fittingly titled, the first single off of his upcoming fifth album is certainly a departure from The Weeknd's After Hours. Although, if we've learned anything from the singer, it's to expect the unexpected. With its disco-pop beat and catchy lyrics, there's no doubt it will make a nice addition to our pump-up playlist. As for the video itself, The Weeknd brings his signature sexiness as he joins in on a futuristic rave while seemingly celebrating the end of the world. You can check out the full video above, as well as the extended version of the track below.
