On Mother's Day weekend, a 9-year-old boy gave his mom a handwritten note. However, this two-page letter was different from the DIY cards that other mom's received on this special day.
In the boy's lengthy letter, he thanked his mom for a variety of things including buying him pizza and playing baseball with him in the backyard. The child even made sure to mention how pretty he thinks she looks when she wears makeup. But there was one thing this child expressed gratitude for that blew his mom away.
"To read him thanking me for adopting him melted my heart," she shared on Instagram. "Adoption is not a secret in our house, it's a celebration. Little does our son understand how much more adoption was a gift to us, rather than from us. I'll hold onto this letter for the rest of my life."
