Boy Devastated by the Loss of His Twin Siblings Reacts to Mom's Rainbow Pregnancy

An 11-year-old boy named Hayden just got an early Christmas gift that is sure to top any toy or game he gets on Dec. 25. Back in June 2016, Hayden and his family were devastated by the loss of twins. His mom shared that though they all took it hard, Hayden "took it especially hard, not able to understand why this was happening when he wanted to be a big brother so badly." Now pregnant with a rainbow baby, Hayden's mom wanted to do something special for him to let him know his big brother dreams would finally be coming true, so she wrapped up a framed sonogram as a Christmas gift — and his reaction is so powerful.

In a video shared with the Love What Matters Facebook page, Hayden is seen unwrapping the box, goofing with the paper, holding the box upside down, and freaking out with excitement over the bubble wrap inside the box. Then he stops, overwhelmed at the sight of the sonogram until he puts all the pieces together and beings to cry.

"His reaction was heartwarming and more than I expected," his mom wrote. "I couldn't record anymore at the end. I had to go and sit on the floor with him, and cry together. This baby is going to have the best big brother in the world, even with an 11-and-a-half year age gap. I have a feeling they will be the best of friends."
