This Mexican-Inspired Fiesta Is the Ultimate Baby Shower Bash

In honor of their Mexican heritage, Aracely Baltodano of Minted and Vintage decided to plan a fabulous fiesta-inspired celebration for her sister's baby shower — complete with lots of details, sweet treats, and love.

For the joyous occasion, bright colors, glittering accents, and custom accents filled the indoor space. Not only did colorful papel picado banners hang from the ceiling and the dessert table, but a fondant version also decorated the impressive cake along with gold glitter fondant Mary Janes. Stunning floral gelatins, which are currently trendy in Mexico, added an extra layer of personality to the celebration.

The festive dessert table — which became the room's centerpiece — showcased authentic Mexican candies, cookies, and sweet breads that the mommy-to-be grew up enjoying. "Needless to say it was the talk of the party; everyone 'oohed and aahed' upon entering the room," Aracely wrote. "It was so bright, colorful, and full of sweet Mexican goodies that our guests couldn't wait to get their hands on!"

In addition to the dessert table's sparkly gold linen, the impressive floral backdrop added a major pop to the celebration. Tania Fisher Design, who also designed the invitations and printables, constructed the handmade installation. In the end, Aracely hopes that her stunning — and culturally rich — affair inspires others to reflect on their own heritage and consider incorporating meaningful details throughout their next event.
