Yikes! If you're a club store shopper, you might want to check your freezer. Tyson is voluntarily recalling over 36,000 pounds of its five-pound bags of Tyson Fully Cooked Panko Chicken Nuggets, which were sold exclusively at Costco stores nationwide. The nuggets in question may contain "extraneous materials, specifically rubber."

"A small number of consumers contacted the company to say they had found small pieces of soft, blue rubber in the nuggets, prompting the company to issue the recall," Tyson's site reads. "Though the pieces have been found in a very small number of packages, no injuries have been reported with this recall; however, out of an abundance of caution, the company is recalling 36,420 pounds of product."

The recall applies to bags of the panko chicken nuggets containing the following information:

  • UPC code: 0 23700 03558 5
  • "Best if used by" date: November 26, 2019
  • Case code: 3308SDL03
  • Time stamps of 23:00 to 01:59
  • Establishment number: P13556

If you have any of the affected product in your freezer, Tyson asks that you discard the product, cut the UPC and date code from the back of the packaging, and mail it to the following address for a full refund:

Tyson Foods Consumer Relations
P.O. Box 219
Kings Mountain, NC 28086
