Couple Argues Over Baby Name

Dad-to-Be Tries to Settle a Baby-Name Conflict Through an Online Petition

Source: Facebook user Nicholas Soukeras

Dad-to-be Nicholas Soukeras is trying to convince his wife, Kseniya, to name their unborn child Spyridon, after his father. They aren't sure of the gender of the baby yet, but Nicholas's online petition, "Godly Right to Name First-Born Son Spyridon," includes a five-point argument — and five counterpoints — for why this name is the name they should go with should their bundle of joy be male. His petition has almost 3,000 signatures, and Kseniya has decided that should he get to the 100,000-signature goal, she will concede.

Nicholas told Yahoo Parenting, "All the coverage of our story makes it easier to laugh about. It's still a serious issue between us, though. It's actually a real fight. My blood boils when we discuss it, and one of us will usually end up walking out of the room. It's very juvenile, I know, but it's my sore spot."

Are you team Spyridon? If so, support Nicholas and sign the petition!
