Flying with a small child is quite possibly one of the most stress-inducing things a parent can do. Whether your child makes it through the flight like a champion or cries the whole time, there's little way to plan ahead (and no way to know how the people around you will react). On a flight from Fort Lauderdale, FL, to Islip, NY, one flight attendant came to a family's rescue just before things got a bit dicey, making their flight a better experience.
Heather Gooch posted a photo to Facebook of a Southwest employee — Anissa Charles — holding her 9-month-old son in the aisle of the plane. With the photo was a message from Gooch thanking Charles for making her "trip a little brighter" by calming down her son as he started to get antsy, allowing her and her husband to eat their lunch.
The post found Charles, who commented: "Y'all are going to make me cry! . . . It was truly my pleasure and he made MY day!! I needed him more than he wanted me to hang out with!" Charles also commented that she doesn't mind "being used by all the babies," so basically, every mom is going to hope she's the attendant on their next flight.
