"I went through 4 hard years of fertility treatment after treatment and trying. I was told on May 15th, 2009 that I was finally pregnant!!! I probably took about 15 tests because I couldn't believe it. My 5lb 2oz daughter was born on 1/14/10. And we are trying again and going back through fertility." — Nikki C.

"I had 6 miscarriages before my first daughter. I pretty much got pregnant every time we tried, but would always lose the baby...whether spontaneously or stopped growing/no heartbeat at dr's but with no bleeding. Dr's couldn't find what was wrong, said to keep trying. They finally sent us to an infertility dr to help " ovulate better eggs". We went thru clomid, injectable drugs and iui's with no success. We decided to take a break when the next step was in vitro and we were going to have to save the $ for it. We still hadn't solved the miscarriage problem, but dr's said pgd (preimplantation genetic diagnosis) would help pick the best embryo's. That was when I started doing my own research, googled "multiple miscarriage" and found a world of info about reproductive immunology. We went to see a specialist out of state, started injectable blood thinners while pregnant, along with some vitamins...I am currently 24 wks pregnant with baby #4!!!! "My husband and I tried to conceive naturally for 2 years. We eventually were told we have unexplained infertility. Got pregnant after our 2nd IUI, but then miscarried. We went on to to do about 5 more IUI's and one round of IVF, all unsuccessful. We decided to take a break from everything, and ended conceiving naturally 2 months into our break. "I've always had irregular cycles so tracking my fertile days was difficult. "After a year of trying with my husband for our second child I tried using an app that tracked my menstrual cycle, fertile days and possible ovulation. After a few months tracking my irregular cycles I found a pattern and used it to finally conceive. It helped so much & I know we wouldn't have gotten pregnant without it." — Faye H.

I wasn't ready to give up, even though I am a mother to a wonderful adult son I still believed I was meant to be a mother and have another child. So since 2009 we began trying again and 2013 I was told I was premenopausal but I took clomid, HCG. and progesterone and I now have a beautiful healthy 5 month old baby girl that I gave birth to 4 months before my 40th bday. "In total, we tried 11 LONG years to have another baby. Throughout the process, we tried the BBT (Basal Body Temperature) method, we tried fertility drugs. And our last effort was to check for a blockage with the HSG (Hysterosalpingogram). All to no avail. Then, about 3 years after the HSG, we were surprised with a pregnancy. I took my "test" at 4am on Monday, March 26th 2001. 8 Months later, 3 days after my 35th birthday. Our beautiful daughter was born. Definitely worth the 11 year wait!! Oh, and when our youngest daughter was 14 months old, I got pregnant again (not on purpose). But I miscarried at 5 1/2 weeks. Our 2 beautiful daughters are now 29 and 12. And our handsome nephew is 19. God thinks we're pretty awesome!" — Dawn B.

"At 17 I was told it was unlikely I'd ever conceive. At 29 I went to a naturopath to help sort out my cycle and my period pain, a week after my 30th I met my husband to be, 10 weeks I was pregnant! After baby number 1 we had 3 miscarriages, so back to naturopath and then had baby number 2, had 2 more miscarriages, went back to naturopath , had baby number 3, one more miscarriage back to naturopath and now have our last baby our gorgeous 7 month old!! 4 beautiful boys, six very sad miscarriages all within 11 years.
