John Legend Describes Love For Daughter Luna
Grab the Tissues Because John Legend's Talking About "Different Kind of Love" He Has For Daughter
There's literally (and we mean literally) nothing John Legend says that doesn't make us openly swoon. For proof, let us provide you with Exhibit 9,763,451: his appearance on The Late Show last night.
While talking to host Stephen Colbert about fatherhood and his 1-year-old daughter Luna, the Grammy-winning musician laid down one weep-worthy sentiment after another.
"It's a different kind of love," he said. "It's very pure, it's unconditional, but they haven't earned it yet. They didn't do anything, they just exist and you love them completely, but it's not built on anything other than their existence."
Um, that's exactly how we feel but never could put into words, John!
But he didn't stop there. Oh, no.
"It's beautiful, it's very emotional and it brings you and your wife closer together," he said about becoming a parent alongside Chrissy Teigen. "It's a very powerful feeling to see the product of your love right there in front of you."
Yes! It is a powerful thing!
OK, we can't go on. Grabbing tissues. And the nearest baby to snuggle.
