Krispy Kreme Has Gingerbread Doughnuts Until Christmas Eve, So There’s My Holiday Dessert Contribution

Gingerbread cookies everywhere are urging people, "DON'T EAT US!" this holiday season, as the species of cookie (lol) has gone through enough. Instead, the cookie people with gumdrop buttons are asking that you consume Krispy Kreme's gingerbread doughnuts instead, and to be honest, I'm fine with the substitution (I'd rather have a doughnut than a hard, crumbly cookie literally any day — don't @ me).

Starting Dec. 19, Krispy Kreme will have its gingerbread doughnuts back in stock, but only for a limited time. The delicious spiced glazed doughnuts will be available in select locations through Christmas Eve, and then they'll be — *in the voice of Buzz McCallister chewing like a cow on a slice of pizza* — gone.

"The destruction of gingerbread culture and habitats, aka gingerbread houses, must stop. There's no reason to consume gingerbread people when you can eat delicious Gingerbread Glazed Doughnuts instead," Dave Skena, chief marketing officer of Krispy Kreme, said in a press release. George, a gingerbread man added, "Please do your part to enable us to keep all our parts."

So, save the gingerbread people this holiday season and grab a few doughnuts instead, won't ya?
