Little Boy Calls 911 on the Grinch

This 5-Year-Old Boy Called 911 to Prevent the Grinch From Stealing Christmas

The Grinch is definitely not going to ruin Christmas in Jackson, MS, if TyLon Pittman has anything to do with it. The adorable 5-year-old boy recently found out about somebody named the Grinch who threatens to steal Christmas, so he did what any aspiring police officer and concerned child would do — he called 911 to report the Grinch. "If I wake up and I see he's stealing Christmas, I'm gonna take him down and arrest him for the police [to] come take him to jail," TyLon says in USA Today's video.

TyLon told his mom and brother that he was planning on calling 911 about this very serious issue, but it wasn't until an officer from the Byram Police Department showed up to their door that the family found out he was actually serious. "I was like, 'Oh my gosh, my child did not do that,'" TyLon's mom says in the video. Officer Lauren Develle, who found out about the hilarious call through the dispatcher's Facebook status, decided to go over and tell TyLon directly that he doesn't have anything to worry about. "The Grinch is not gonna come steal your Christmas. I won't let that happen," she says.

If only we could all take a cue from this sweet kid's heart of gold during the holiday season! Watch the full video above, and prepare to have a grin on your face for the rest of the day.
