This Mom’s Honest Story About Giving Birth to Stillborn Twins Is So Moving

Every parent's story of loss and heartache surrounding pregnancy is a painful one. Whether you're the parent yourself, a close friend, or just hearing about the experience as an outsider, any time a woman shares her truth surrounding miscarriage or stillbirth, we can't help but pause. We feel their pain tremendously, and it's vital to everyone's growth to ensure families everywhere have a platform with which to open up.

As part of March of Dimes' powerful #UnspokenStories series, they reached out to families who wanted to talk intimately about pregnancy, parenthood, and loss. Every story is unique, and every parent deserves an opportunity to reflect.

The above video is just one of many heartfelt stories in the series. In a moving interview, mom Sky shares her story of a painful loss. Earlier this year she gave birth to two identical stillborn sons, and though she's visibly still very affected by it, she holds onto their receiving blanket as a reminder of them . . . and of her own power, too. She is truly a story of what strength looks like.
