Why This Mom Is Freaking Out About Yet Another Target Change — and It Isn't at All What You'd Expect

Despite Target being in the news for its recent statement welcoming all customers to use the bathroom and dressing room that corresponds with his or her gender identity, one mom is trying to call attention to another major change.

As some parents are uniting to boycott the retailer, Rebecca Bell wants people to realize something important that Target has done for families across the country. As of March 2016, Target stores supplied every one of their 1,793 locations with at least one Caroline's Cart.

Along with a sweet photo of her daughter shopping at Target, Rebecca lamented how upset over Target's bathroom controversy has overshadowed such exciting news for families who have children with special needs. "This is a game changer for families like mine," Rebecca wrote. "It means I can shop without having to push a cart and pull a wheel chair."

The cart, which features a large seat that can accommodate older children, was created by a stay-at-home mom who wanted to develop a solution for other parents who struggle while shopping with their children who have special needs. "[The cart] means that my little girl can participate in one more aspect of life," Rebecca added. "We are beyond excited about it. #ThankYouTarget for continuing to show acceptance of everyone."
